Elective plastic surgery positively us affects because it allows people to improve their self confidence. Anyone can change something about theirselves that they do not like, whether it be reducing their waste size or removing an unwanted mole from their face, and they lead better lives because it makes them feel better. Improving your self confidence can change the way you interact with other and can improve relationships with friends, family, and even co-workers. Though it can give people confidence that they have never had before, plastic surgery can also negatively affect because the ease at which it is accessible lets people become dependent upon it. It can be addictive and gives people a false sense of security. Just because they can change any little thing about their body does not mean that they need to. It is creating the idea that perfection is needed in our society when in reality true perfection is virtually impossible.
