Only so censored
Television helps us to stay informed. We can watch TV and know about local and global news as well as the weather for the upcoming week. Television, though, can also give us too much information. Children and teens now learn about things on TV that they probably should not learn in a lifetime. Drugs, sex, alcohol, all of these situations are characteristics of a good suspense or comedy. Everyone loves a good comedy, so let's watch this movie about a man from the sixties that "shags" every female he can and gets shot at by a robot with guns coming out of her "boobs". I love Austin Powers, but I don't think something like this is suitable for children during "family movie night". The problem, I guess, isn't really in what is on TV, but what America allows their children to watch. It must be one of those things where we can just blame our irresponsibility on something other than ourselves.
