One-Sided

I agree with Daniel in saying this would be a very unappealing start to an essay. It is indeed too dull and one sided for an introduction. It doesn't capture the reader's attention or present the topic as a whole. It basically just jumps straight into the meat of the argument i.e. establishing the subjective argument before introducing it objectively. This would be okay for a third or forth paragraph because he/she does attempt to answer the question; however, this is not appropriate for an intro.
